I worked with many personal trainers in the past I always
struggled with finding the right trainer and pushing myself to go out and
workout. Being a busy full professional and a mom to young kids is not easy and
takes so much energy to head to the gym after a long day of work. Things
changed when I met Andrea it truly makes a huge difference when training with

I bought a dress in Paris even though it was too
small. They didn’t have my size but, I mean, it’s a dress from a Paris
boutique! I’d figure out how to fit into it later.
This is what led me to Andrea. I’d had a trainer in
the past to some success and no motivation to work out on my own – I don’t say
this proudly but after a 10 hour day of work and an hour commute home, it was
easy to find excuses not to work out.
That’s when Andrea came into my life and, guess what, I
got into that dress in time for the wedding and it was gorgeous on me!
How did we get there?
I’m in my 40’s, have diabetes, and am scared of hurting
myself lifting weights by myself. Andrea taught me that a key component
of sustaining good health is through building muscle so that’s what I needed to
do. I think that’s one of the best things about Andrea; she educates
without preaching or being condescending. I’m never going to be in a body
building competition nor is that my goal; but, I do want to be healthy and knew
after our first session that Andrea was the trainer for me.
We developed our ‘rules.’ First, Paula doesn’t get
hurt – I didn’t have anything to worry about with Andrea but I was a little
paranoid about the weight lifting thing. Second rule, Paula needs to be
healthy. Exercise is how I help manage my diabetes which becomes even
more important as I get older.
I admit that I’m still staying healthy as most of us
do. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have someone like Andrea in
life. She is professional, intelligent, caring and continually seeks to improve
her knowledge to help her clients. Oh yeah, and she gets results. My diabetes
is stable; I’m wearing sleeveless shirts; and, I need to have that dress
altered because it’s too big! I’ve gone down two sizes since working with
Andrea. It’s a journey and I’m lucky to have Andrea as my partner on it.
